- Entrepreneur and the executive chairman of Happiest Minds Technologies Ltd, Mr. Ashok Soota, announced the launch of a not-for-profit medical research trust, SKAN. Centre for Brain Research at Indian Institute Science, Bangalore is identified by SKAN as a strategic partner for neurological research.
- CBR received a gift from Ms. Sharwaree Gokhale, Former Secretary, Government of Maharashtra, who passed away on 15th January 2016. In her will, Ms. Gokhale donated a major portion of her estate to the Centre for Brain Research.
- Mr. Prashant Bharat Wani from Nashik, in memory of his father gave a donation.
