CBR Workshop on ‘Maintaining Brain Health in an Aging Society’
06 September 2024, Friday | 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM (followed by High Tea)
Faculty Hall, Main Building, Indian Institute of Science
Scope of the Workshop
With its rapidly growing elderly population estimated to reach 340 million by 2050, India faces significant health challenges, particularly concerning age-related brain disorders and the associated socioeconomic burden. Early detection of dementia and other neurodegenerative conditions is crucial but remains a significant challenge due to the lack of effective, non-invasive diagnostic tools.
This Workshop is designed to bring together leading experts and visionaries to explore novel and simpler approaches for characterising early biomarkers of dementia and to deliberate on strategies for advancing research to guide decision-making and impact. Attendees will benefit from a series of insightful talks and discussions.
